Ok im about to buy this 99 hatch on thursday, and i was talking to my friends telling them about it, and the guy upgraded the stock brakes to integra disk brakes all around. THen, they asked it was swapped, and it isnt.. which makes no sense. why upgrade the brakes when the stock engine is already slow as ****? Now the reason im asking is cause i was wondering if there was a VIN on the engine that matches the same VIN on the car (to see if its the original engine) Anyone know?

Im thnking maybe the car was swapped, then swapped back the original engine and is now selling the car.

 

Are you for real? Lots of people upgrade the breaks with out doing a swap.

 

Vin number on the front of the block and underneath.

 

Is the VIN on the engine the same as the VIN of the car?

 

there is a vin # tag on the block to the left of the engine code

area in blue
