my ignition key is stuck help
like the title says the key is stuckin the ignition. When I turn it off in only goes to the 1(or acc). The key is brand new so I am thinking that it is the key but how do I get it out? I thank you all in advance for your help.

Are you sure its in park?

yep, got that problem before, i started the car again, shifted to D4 or whichever gear, shift it back to park really hard, dont break it haha, key came out easily... or u can try taking out all the key chains n stuff, use a vise grip, grip it to the key, and turn using the vise grip. dont take my words for it..
Try to "wiggle" in P and N, and try to remove the key at the same time. If your car is about 80k+ miles, your shift-gear switch probably just about to go out. I got the same problem before, wiggling method work for a while but eventually had to replace the switch.

Bad advise. All you have to do is gently bump the lever forward after it is in Park. You will here a click. My 97 EX does this. I'm guessing cleaning the switch contacts is the fix.
We still don't even know if it's an automatic do we ? How 'bout it SNYDERMAN5 ?

Are you sure you're steering wheel isn't locked? Try to move the wheel hard to one side or the other while you turn the key? This can be a surprise if you're new to the car.
