how fast have you gone????????
i wanted to see how fast some of you guys have had your hatchs/crxs going on the strip. I havent gone that fast yet about 10mph when i last parked it for the winter . I HATE michigan,

yeah, winter does suck. we use salt on the roads here and it eats the cars. makes it tough to find a good car. ive got an 89 hatch, soon to have a b18, as soon as taxes come back.

my needle has been known to be smashed into the dash a few times. But only in the most rural areas of the 5. I'm talking like bakersfield and on the way up to reno/las vegas. The 5 and the 15 are your friends

124 mph on 101,you have to at least be doing 90 mph to keep up with traffic but it was late and hardley any one around.i shut it down because i got scarred when i felt a wierd vibration coming from the wheel and it started to pull"stock b16a"i prolly wont be doing that again because ca just passed a new law on the first that any one exceeding 100 mph will get a 2.500-7.000 fine automatically,i cant pay for that **** and i dont wanna die so i keep it calm these days

Im real curious about how fast our cars can go. I did the math (im sure its off a lil) but at close to 8,700 rpm i should be at 150-155. However I would think that car may no longer be planted on the road, lol. Anyone ever really break the 135 mark in a rex?
*raises hand* I went toe to toe with mybuddy drivng my Eclipse GSX....On my HF MOTOR.....i got to 138...beofre the tranny quit at 6k Redlines at 5k but ****....that l3 goes to 6200 before it lurches. I've got a pic of me hitting 110 in 3rd gear in my sig...
With my S1 tranny... I don't want to go past 180km/h. It was at 7500 rpm at that speed. I could go a bit more but I never really take my car to the redline.
At what point though does our speedometer become inaccurate, before or after it leaves 120? What we need is someone with the EDM cluster to risk there *** for all of us in the name of science

I did get to peg the speedo for about 2 sec (if that) on the front straight of VIR... i got throw hog pen stupid crazy fast (and i've never repeated the speed through the corner)... with NO one in front of me and almost over shot turn one... but the car rotates like a dream.
with the speedo being inaccurate (i know the tach is off)... running tires that are slightly larger than stock... i'd still say +120 and you are right... the cars dont like to stay on the ground +110... i usually hit between 110 and 115 their depending... i need a roadracegear.com front spliter... 88 std 100 mph then i shut itt down, I could have taken it faster but didn't have the time

hhaha go check the sig...i wouldn't say it unless it's true....we didn't race.....not at all he was just keeping up with mebecause the gov on the gsx doesn't kick in until 140+ he was just my "other" speedometer.
Just some recent expereinces
yeh the CRX doesnt like to stay on the ground at all accelerating hard and at 105mph feels like it wants to lift off. 120 feels like its floating and 130+ feels like any millimeter moved on the steering your going to flip over, especially deceleration without braking. This is not safe at all i will add. but it was me and him and no1 else on a divided highway that was 2miles straight and no cars. enough time to slow down without brakes.
that other night racing the TA he was at the end of 5th said he shut down at 145mph. i was like .5 sec behind him pulling while he was pulling harder.
when autoxing 3 weeks ago i actually reach a top speed of 70mph coming out of a turn straight across course diving into cones on the other side of course, then another 70mph but in 2nd instead of 3rd finishing through the esses .

well the 95 DSM's dont have a speed gov. , and 96 up you can remove a resistor to take off the speed gov.
On Pr3 and PW0's stock fuel cut would be at 112mph. The only real way to test your speed above 130mph on a crx or civic, would be to use a GPS unit to calculate your speed. That or a cop with radar.
With a chipped pr3 i know i can hit about 138mph max( 5th gear @7800rpm). windy at that speed.
Stock HF can hit over 100 in 3rd, 4th is no help, and 5th just slows you down.

stock d16a6?? kinda fishy, because that means with a good 60 ft your a mid 13 sec if not quicker car.

My speedometer definitely was at 110 just before the braking zone for T10 at BeaveRun.
Probably runs a low 16 at the drag strip.
