This spring, we'll be hosting the HSR Mitty weekend at Road Atlanta. We're responsible for the infield entertainment, and we're talking to the Lotus people about bringing out some Elises for people to autocross. Would that interest people? Would it get people to make the trip to Road Atlanta? (You guys are like my focus group.)

Would this be down in the turn 6/7 area? I've autocrossed there before and its FUN!

PS - What would be a REAL hoot is if you guys could also get a Z06 or a Viper as well. People could do the "Light and quick" vs. "Brute power" comparison.

Good point, I should have been more specific: April 28-May 1.

This sounds like a lot of fun, Road Atlanta, historics, auto-xing a cool little car, beating the snot out of Bowie AND Scotty in an auto-x ... man that's just top notch

Can't speak for Scotty, but I think we should put a bit of money on this one. (or beer)

How is camping handled for the mitty? That could be sold as a "camping trip" to the wife!

 

I'm more worried about my significant other than you guys. She's beaten me the last 2 of 3 autocrosses and keeps paxing... Oh... #1 for the whole group.
Maybe she'll be on call that weekend and need to stay home .

And I don't have any of that money stuff (remember what thats like Bowie?), but I'll bet you guys two pretty rocks and something shiney I found in my yard.

I don't have any of that money stuff either (OPM took it all) but I figured beating you two is such a sure thing I don't need any.

 

I am in. Scott's in for two shiney rocks, Bowie's in for a beer each, count me in for a 3' stick of BSCI padding for each of you cheap bassards. Renee can't play on your behalf Scotty, you will have to drive for yourself this time

I think you guys should include me merely to watch me get INTO an Elise. It was quite comical the first time I did it... took three approaches.
