Default *****Problem with B18C1*****

Well, I put in a B18C1 in my 94 EX coupe. The car ran great and I had no problems for a while. Starting today when I start the engine up, it immediatly jumps to 2000 rpm, holds there for about 8 sec, then starts jumping for 1200 rpm to 2000 rpm. It constanly does this as I drive when I take my foot off the accelerator. The only engine light I get is code 23 witch is the knock sensor. Is this sensor causing it to idle this way? The thing that gets me, is that it only shows this code when the car is warmed up on has always came on since I put the motor in about 2 weeks ago. I checked the vaccum hoses and checked the manifold for leaks but cannot find any. I there anything I can do about this?

I agree Also, check your coolant lines to make sure there isn't any buildup. I had the same problem you're describing, and after replacing the FITV and IACV, it turned out the only problem was a hose that had corrosion built up inside.

I had the same problem I tryed everything and it turned out to be a stupid little vacuum leak at the back of the intake manifold. It was the spot that the crusie control vac line would go in the stock gsr. But my car did not have cruise control so I pluged it and every thing was fine after that.

Well now my car is throwing code "7" which is TPS sensor. Should I replace it? Is there something else I should check?

Yea replace it. I would get a whole new TB though. Just changing that sensor is sensative.

Is there a big difference in price from a buying a stock TB compared to an aftermarket performance one?
