Default Should I jump on this deal?

I put my crx for sale to local people and got an offer on a trade for a 94 integra. Here's the details:

CRX

88 5spd dx https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/cmiceli/www/forsale/crx/
140k
not starting, most likely ignition switch
typical quarter panel rust
primer color d-side door
completely stock

Integra

94 5 spd LS
No engine, tranny, shift linkage, ecu
Front end damage pictured here:

No interior
Needs front bumper and d-side taillight

The guy wants to give me a 40 gig ipod + the teg. I'm mainly posting this to see if the damage is fixable, he tells me that the frame is good, but I can't tell crap from the pic cause I don't know what's supposed to be where. I don't think I can lose with this deal cause I could always part the car out and make some money back. Any insight is appreciated.

I don't like the looks of that Integra, at all. But if you guys are trading cars that don't run, why not I guess?

no way, send that teg to the scrap yard, yes what he has right now in my opinion is worth more,im sre he is thinking the same thing.but then you have to wonder why he is goint to let it go for such a deal.thats what i always ask myself first then start asking questions.

It seems like I would have cut out and weld in a good piece where the headlight goes correct?

My options as they are right now is sell the crx for $550, or do this trade. The trade seems like the better of the 2 and I would love to pick up a project.

Yeah, that 'Teg's totalled in any insurance estimator's book. You'll likely have to cut off most of the front end and weld in new structure from the top of the wheelwells forward. If you've got the welding/cutting/measuring skills, great, but a shop is going to charge $ for it. And then you still have to get fenders, hood, lights, complete front bumper, get it all fitted and painted... and THEN you can start buying the engine/tranny/axles/ECU/etc.

It's a project, all right. If you're willing to take on that amount of work and expense, why not just fix your CRX? It would be one helluva lot cheaper.

Just my two cents.

Mike

Dont do it. His problems will become yours. He is offering you this deal thinking that he can get the better end out of it. Say no and walk away.

Fix your car and make it start.
Not 'that' bad.
Mayb $50~$100 to make it run and $1500 or LESS for paint.

His car, not anything simple to fix.
No frame damage? LOL!!!
And no engine, trnanny or ECU.
I'm thining about $4000+ to get that thing operational.

Hmmm., but do you get the neon stick that is on the front of the radiator support???
Nahhh... I'd pass.

So what.

It has no engine, trans, or ECU and on top of that the body needs work too.
Where's the deal?
Have him fix the body professionally and then maybe I see a deal, but otherwise NO.

I already have a rebuilt crx, if I started another one it would have to be rust free. I also would do all the work myself. The options are this trade or sell the crx for $550. The price is so cheap because its in worse condition than the pictures.

Man, the i-pod is worth more then the Integra. If you really think that your REX is in bad condition and want a new project car, then just trade it.

I prefer not because I love CRX.

Someone posted up a pic of a straight integra body and I don't even think I'm gonna bother taking a look at the car in person.

hell no. your car has the potential to run... he car doesn't... plus if you got his car running it wouldn't be in a straight line that's for sure

NO, just keep the rex or sell it. All the integra is is a shell + damage...screw that.
