honda has an infamous 3rd gear problem... it means the syncros are wearing out... it's usually if not always the 3rd that goes out first then the 2nd then 4th. you could get new syncros but those are pretty pricey but worth it. for a quick fix you just change out you tranny lil to some reduced friction one, and EASE UP ON THE POWER SHIFTING!!! this also happens to me as well as many on this board. some one back me up.

exact same words that came from me when my LS tranny started going out. Don't put any more pressure on your tranny anymore, meaning, accept that it's focked up and try not to shift over 3000-3500rpm when goin into 3rd gear.

I first started seein this problem bout 5 months ago and kept toyin with the gears to figure out what the problem was exactly. after a while it just got worse and I had to drive around like a granny until i got my new tranny and clutch/flywheel setup (puttin in next week) If you do push your tranny a lot your synchros are gonna get worse. You'll begin having problems shifting into 2nd from 1st when shifting hard, and shifting down to 2nd from any gear when doin daily driving, and have problems takin it out of reverse.

Try keepin the revs under 3000 when drivin around throughout the day now and your tranny wont go out as quick as mine did (cuz if you do get a new tranny you might wanna keep this one for a rainy day). And make sure you rev match when the gears decide not to go in, dont' lose your patience and jam em in. now that your synchros are goin out they're extremely vulnerable to breaking down more so watch how your' drivin.

I don't think gettin new synchros is worth it unless you wanna build your transmission. Think of this as a chance to get a better tranny setup. I'm goin from stock LS tranny/c/flyw to GSR tranny with extreme 6-puc clutch n 8.8 lb flywheel. (after bout half a year)
Whatever way you decide to go with your car I hope things work out for you.
