Will removing the stock cd deck affect the anti theft system, other than the little light that blinks? It's in a 1999 Civic Si.

no. but if you plan on putting it back in, make sure u have the unlock code.

 

how do you get the unlock code?

 

I had to get mine at a local dealership.

just to let you know, the red blinking light on your radio just means your radio is protected with a code. you don't really have any anti-theft system on the rest of your car

 

Do you have keyless entry?

 

removing the stock radio will not affect anything...your keyless entry will also be fine. just like everyone else said....if you disconnect your radio, or battery, make sure you have the code, or you'll be rollin around in silence
