Default Painting an Accord

My Accord is getting painted and I was wondering does weather play any effect? Can they paint in 60 degree weather and 50 degree weather and if it freezes at night like 30 to 35 degrees? This guy has had my car for along time and he says he cant paint in cold weather. Someone hear will know! What's the trueth?

Thanks

you shouldn't be painting in anything less than 70 degrees, thats pushing it but 80-85 is ideal. the hardeners down work correctly in "cold" weather.

I believe what fknslmd is saying is:

You can if you have to, but you really shouldn't, as the quality of the paint job will suffer.

The thing is, if the bodyshop is well equiped, your paint would most likely to be baked(or at least in a temp, dust controlled booth) as it dry.

Yeah if its possible I would wait till the spring, or at least until its hot again. The quality will suffer if its too cold out, especially freezing temps.

if it is under 70 degrees the clear will run right off the car, literally. the painter knows what he's talking about, you'll just have to be patient
