cv joints and trans axls
I have a driverside axle layin around, and the passenger side outer cv joint on my cars pretty bad, i wanted to know if i can use a driverside axle on the passengerside?

The inners look the same but it looks like the outers are different part numbers. I would just get a remanufacturered axle. Only like $70 and you don't have to deal with all the axle grease and crap.
EDIT:
Wait, crap, I messed up the outers and inners. The outers DO have the same part numbers so you can swap over the outer joints. It's going to be a bitch though because you have to pull apart the inner jointer in order to get off the outer joints if I'm not mistaken.

You can't remove the outer joint from the axle. What you would actually do (if it is possible) is to swap the inner joints and use everything else (both axle shaft and outer joint).
So you would be using a driver side outer joint and shaft, with a passenger side inner joint, on the passenger side of the car. Just make sure to get the length adjusted correctly (listed in the Helm's manual).
