i'm finally tuning my car tomorrow...gsr block, 12:1CR, jg pro series head, RM valvesprings/retainers, crower stage 2 cams, hondata s200 (p28), and a stock header(i'll get a different one when funds allow)...those are the basics right now...hoping to get around 195-205whp...wish me luck.

 

def keep us updated. the more dyno plots the better we can see how to reach power with the right mods.

 

youll be lucky to reach 190, with a stock header? why not just wait to get tuned until you get your header, just more money in the end ..........

 

Don't know bout the Crower's, but good luck man, I'm sure you'd hit that with BC4's or S2S3's no problem...keep us posted man!!

i'll keep everyone posted...i know 195-205 is gonna be hard with a stock header, but i've seen it done before...i'm taking it to a place called carb connections in kirkland, washington...i've heard good things about them, so i'll try them out...and the reason why i'm tuning it now is because i just want the motor to good for now...i dont want anything to go wrong with air/fuel, timing, or anything else...so i'll tune with this setup and then hopefully in the next few months i'll be able to get the bc4's, an-r header, injectors, and fuel pump...but i'll hopefully pull out some good numbers tomorrow.

 

i dont know if this is a good way to determine power, but i have a buddy with a full built LS turbo'd hatchback boosting 10psi, and i beat him from a dig...we went all the way to the end of 4th gear and he didnt pull on me at all on the top end(i beat him by about 1 1/2 cars)...which i think we have similar power...and then he dyno'd his car at 15psi and made 270whp/233tq...so i dont know...

was ur buddy with the turbo LS run n on low boost or with that 15 psi? he must be run n low boost if u beat him

 

well my buddy was boosting 10-11psi...i dont know how much power that would be...maybe about 200-220whp...just based on his 15psi(270whp).

and as for my dyno results...i went in today, the place said i had the "old style" hondata s200...they only have the software for the new hondata units...so i'm trading in my old one for a core of 150...and i have to pay the rest of it...i have to wait till saturday for it to come in...wish me luck AGAIN...hahaha.
