That picture shows a newer car (Del Sol or EG6) with a B16, but if you're purchasing an 88-91 SiR/B16, you'll need a hydro tranny for your Del Sol.

it will go in your car, but with some work imo, I would get one of these 2:

not complete
http://hmotorsonline.com/shop/...30004

complete
http://hmotorsonline.com/shop/...30005

Also I have never ordered from importparts.com and have nothing against them but I would order from HMO, you are guaranteed to get a good motor with everything working, and if for some reason there is a problem, Steve is know for resolving issues quickly with great customer service.

I ordered my swap from him and would never order from anyone else, just because HMO did everthing the said they were gonna do

Legally, no you cannot put that motor in your car. Your car is OBDI, and that motor (88-91 CRX) is OBD0. It is illegal to swap a motor from an older car into a newer car due to emissions laws. You can put an engine from anything the same years or newer (i.e. OBDIIa, OBDIIb) into your car, because the emissions controls on those are either the same or higher, whereas the other motor has lower emissions controls. Physically, yes you can, though you would either have to get a cable to hydro conversion kit, or get a hydro tranny. Putting that motor into the car is no problem, although you can find those motors (OBD0 B16) for much cheaper than that. Japanstarmotors.com sells them for i believe $1200, but i think they have shipping costs. Overall, if your not worried about possibly getting caught and then having to swap another motor into it, then do it, but there is a very high possibility that will happen due to all the emmissions laws going into effect all over the country. Hope knowing that will help you make your decision. Peace.

The law is a federal law, not state laws.
