It has begun, my second gear is starting to grind more and more. I'll be shifting rather briskly-as-normal, and I get this obnoxious grind going into 2nd (even after rev-matching). That, and my brother had it at redline in 1st gear and threw it into 2nd gear (he was "test driving" my car over the Christmas break)....it made this gawd-awful noise.
That, and the clutch is slipping a lot more recently too...which can be expected at 112,000 miles.
I've got both the Haynes and Helms manuals, how hard is the tranny work (from those who have done this)? I'm guessing this involves new syncros.
The clutch, ugh, I know that will be labor intensive as it is....probably be sent of to the dealer.
And yes, as listed below I'm considering selling it and getting something with more torque! But, if I put money into the car, I might keep it for a Turbo.

Have you replaced the clutch master cylinder, or the slave cylinder yet? My car would kinda crunch when shifting into 2nd at high rpm's, but it hasn't done it since I changed it
Cheap and easy to replace. Now I just need a new clutch. L8R

Hey,
Thanks for both suggestions. It had the 90k full servicing at the dealer (it has been dealer maintained for the most part). I'll have to look into both (although I'm pretty sure the fluid was changed).
