perfect gear ratio IMO same rear ratio as a usdm ITR tranny but without the LSD.

lol you can use 5th gear as a passing gear still on the freeway.

lol. this is true. for the street, the b16 is perfect. as for highway, you're at 3750 @65 mph, 4000 @70, and hitting vtec by 80. then again, this is on my ys1 which has the shortest of all the b series gears. all the other b16s (excl. 99-00 si) will be a little more bearable in 5th gear on the highway.

specnically speaking b-series gear ratios

b16 trannies are the ****, it makes a big difference on a stock gsr motor, pulls hard 1st-2nd and yes 5th is like a passing gear, but bareable...

I got a b16 J1 with a kaaz LSD connected to my b18c1. Its a nice combination but be prepared to cruise on the freeway at 5k, personally i like the fact that i can pass in 5th and even though i got a greddy sp and its still loud as F**K.

what speed are you at when the tach is at 5K. 75? anyone else with personal experience that has went from a GSR to a b16. I just need to make sure before i buy this 750 dollar JDM b16.
