The car is off, the blower stays on, and so do climate control lights
Like it says, when the car is off the blower for the heat will stay on if it is on and the buttons that choose where the air is coming from stay on when they are pressed in. i have a 93 coupe ex. does anyone know why this happens? it has only been recently. sometimes the blower wont stay on when the car is off, but the lights always do. i have noticed it for about the last week. and it has been in the single digit temperature, and up to the 30's the last few weeks. any help is appreciated thanks.
my brother had a similer problem i checked his ignition and the person that put his remote start system hooked up to many accy wires. normally that would be alright but that specific wire(blue or blue/white stripe) tested for 12volts when ign was on and not durring crank and when ign was off i showed neg so i disconected that wire going to it(orange from viper alarm) and on to the right wire(yellow). and the problem stopped and the remote starter worked great. he had an 1993 eg. if you wanna check yours let me know and i'll email u a diagram.
its probably some sorta relay or control module or something.....i had a caddy that did that and it ended up being the a/c control module.
Got a wiring diagram? Often the fan switch is on the ground side of the circuit, so when the fan's turned off, the wire measures battery voltage. Hook up something (like an alarm?) to that & suddenly lots of stupid unrelated things are screwed up...
my accord has this problem also, i relocated the climate controls to the glove box and it has done it ever since. ive checked the wiring i did over and over and it is correct.
