Default Need help from drag racers, torque vs Peak power

I need some advice.

Assuming same conditions and same car, driver reaction time etc...

What is better in a 1/4 mile?

A 250whp/160 tq car or a 225whp/200tq car? I mean.. When do you know, you can sacrifice whp for tq in drag racing?

The 250whp car should be faster.. low torque/high hp engines inherently rev high so they use lower(numerically higher) gear ratios which put more torque to the ground. yes, its possible for a lower "peak" hp engine to be faster then higher "peak" hp engine if it has a better area under the curve.
