Default Need Input from B series , H series experts : Has this ever been done?

In all your time, have you guys ever seen a stock H or B block with upgraded head with cams, valvetrain and porting run a 10-10.9 second 1/4 mile on a honda? ALL MOTOR?

Let me ask one more time to make it clear: Do you guys know of a stock OEM b or H block that pushed a honda into the 10s? On pump gas? ALL MOTOR?

Thanks, NIkos.

You're about to tell us about a K series that did, aren't you? I tingle with anticipation. I've never seen a stock bottom end do that, maybe if you put something badass in a Z600 or something.

IMHO I don't think a stock block can support it. I've never seen it, and I don't really think that the sleeves would be capable of it.

if a stocker can yield 240whp it can do it an a racecar chassis ~ 17-1800 lbs

has it been done ? NOPE ... not that I know of.

and by stock, you mean stock pistons, rods, crank, and bore for all parts that came in the block from the factory, correct ?

Yes, stock everything. We are really excited about this.

I guess I should chime in and say so far with my K20A I've run an 11.73 the only not factory internals are a pair of VTC killer Cam gears. There has been no porting to either manifolds bolted on. I run 52mm ITB's with no adapter plate. and a DTR 4-2-1 header with a custom muffler..
Hopefully by porting the head and adding cams and vavles I hope to break into the high 10's on a stock block... I also hope to do it without wheelie bars and on a combination of stock Honda axles and engine mounts.

If the timing works out on shipping etc. We hope to have the car running for the stickest track of my season on the 5-6 of march. So keep your ears pealed around late Feb for dyno results.. But like I said shipping is the only time restraint..
If it is completed in time I hope to get pretty close to running 10's..

Damn, can't wait for the prices of K motors to drop and the mounts/axles/header prices go down too.

I'd love me a K-series

I know Danny Tran currently has a B series project like this going on, but it is using OEM not stock block parts(meaning CTR pistons).

Can't wait for the K series results though.

If k's are putting it down, racing would be cheap. Get a civic gutt it and drop a k with some slicks and your ready to go
