Thermal Exhaust Questions! I know.... Another exhaust question
Guys,
I will keep this short and sweet. I am in the market for an exhaust and do not want a mind numbing exhaust that won't allow me to think. I am looking into the Thermal Stealth, Apexi WS and Greddy SP. I do not want some huge tip and I don't want to attract police/people to my car. I am not expecting some huge hp gains. I live in CT so I want full stainless, which I heard would take the WS out of the picture. Can anyone confirm it is not SS? I am looking for ideas, suggestions, and audio clips. Any help is appreciated!

ws is not ss. thermal is loooud, even w/ the stealth mod. i got a chance to listen to one today. dont know about the sp tho.
Thermal stealth is LOUD. Not obnoxious loud, but under light load its very deep and bassy. Shouldn't run the thermal unless you are FI and need the full 3" system and even then run an inline flowthru presilencer. It's not that bad under boost, most of its covered by the turbo
SP is pretty quiet, good for na app

I like the comptech and mugen, but I am not willing to spend that kind of money on an exhaust... The thermal stealth I would get wwould not be the 3" turbo application, only the 60mm regulat version.Any other suggestions or sound clips?
THe SP is not full stainless, only the canister.
Neither is the DC sports, but they may have a model that is full stainless but its like 600. You really have 2 choices, comptech, and thermal.

the Greddy SP is pretty queit IMO.. only the rear muffler portion is stainless i believe..the SP is quieter than my Greddy Evo..comptech makes a nice exhaust
Apexi WS pipings is not stainless steel, but the muffler and tip is. The titanium coating on the pipings is very good. No rust so far. I have mines for 6 months and it's very quiet for an aftermarket exhaust.
I did some more research and the comptech full SS exhaust is around 600 bucks, where the thermal is 479 shipped. The thermal seems like the exhaust for me, but it is not very popular yet and I am struggling to find feedback and sound clips. Keep the ideas coming. Thanks guys!
Am I missing any exhausts that are similar to the ones listed? I have heard good about the SP, but I don't like the idea of not having a SS exhaust. Also, I will be upgrading to a DC JDM 4-1 with the 2.5" cat. Has anyone had any problms mating the two? SMSP mentioned a reducer to make the transition from 2.5 to around 2.25 a smooth one. Any truth to this? Thanks in advance!
