c-speed is actually off.
been proven many times.

other than that, if i were you i'd just try to find jdm itr pistons. i think you'd be around 11.5:1 with a gsr head. someone confirm.

There are so many myths to this set up. Katman's website shows a 12.3. I agree with EVOL on this one, C-Speeds' is WAY off. There was a thread created about this not too long ago. Hit up the search button and read tha bizzness, ALLOT of helpful info in there. Good luck man.....what up EVOL (no bad blood eh?)

It's not a dumb *** question, there has been allot of myths as to what this comes out to be. Maybe he didn't know how to use the search, maybe he couldn't find it. Bottom line is it's an intelligent question, all the "compression calculators" seem to have there own opinions about it.....

i read so many posts and everyone gives different opinions. ive read all the post on here but still not a deffinate answer. i have used the search many times but id figure id ask so that mayb someone that has actually put them in their car can give me some feedback.

i dont feel that i asked a dumb question bc its better to play safe than sorry.

to answer your question..... Your will not get the complete benefit of that compression from those cams, but it will run. I would look for some better cams, and be sure to clay your motor and get it tuned

Cool cool Evol.

I would still love to see a FOR SURE answer to this question, like from Honda or somethin. I would take Steve's answer into consideration for sure, matter fact I would swear by his answer. But if I remember right, he didn't have an answer for the straight b18c motor with pct pistons in it. Please correct me if I'm wrong fellas...

still a big risk IMO because of the lack of clearance between the pistons and the cc.

good luck with your build regardless

no even with that octane he will still detonate, i have those pistons. it will only not detonate with lots a tuning and retarding the timing. But he should get some cams and adjustable cam gears.
