Default A couple pics from an autox today...

Just thought I'd post up a couple pictures my gf took while I was being a sloppy-*** driver today. It's been about 6-7 months sinced I've autox'ed last, nevermind I was used to R-compounds and am on Azenis again... anyway... had fun but I need to relearn about a million things all over again.

Cool cars. Dumb question, but is that the Mugen-style front spoiler on the red hatches?

it's the Wings West RS soiler....IMO, better than the Mugen one.

I had a MUgen one, hit something, and it cracked and broke- so I threw it in the garbage. The WW one is urethane and takes beatings constantly! It fell off on the freeway after hitting a blown semi tire and got run over by several cars and trucks....scuffed it with some steel wool and it's been on ever since! Even hit a guard rail yesterday and it's still rolling

Thanks for the info. Those two cars look a lot like mine, so I was just wondering. Here's mine, and hopefully it will be on the Rotas soon. (Pretty much the same color that you guys are running):

I like the green and love that style. I have gun metal Auto-X's for street (hard to resist with a name like that), and will probably run Slipstreams for STS. Right now the car is on some bronze Konig Burners that were originally on my fiancee's 2000 Civic Si. So far, I'm happy with the car. It's funny that I almost bought one new back in 1992.

Also, looks like you painted your mirrors red? I think I'm going to keep mine black, but I'm still on the fence. The car goes in for paint soon. New side trim is on the way, and I need to order the rest before it goes to the shop. And then it will no longer be several different shades of red.

the 94-95 Si's came with painted mirrors, as well as color matched front vents(as did the rest of the 2 dr/3 dr 94-95 models).....we also have better door panels

I was there. I had a deep and profound desire never to do it again. When you go from W2W racing and HPDE's back to autocross it seems like a rip-off and a waste of time.

I just felt SO dis-heartened.

Autocrossing is like looking at a Victoria's Secret Catalog, Road Racing is like sleeping with the Victoria Secret Models (costs the same too).

Btw: John turned some VERY impressive times.

What about me? I'll have to have some words with that lady of yours Skye. I did not perform especially well. Its was nice to meet some of the people I see posting here all the time. John, you did really well. Congrats on the trophy.

I wish I had not showed up so early. Ya, that's my excuse. I stood around for almost 6 hours waiting for my runs and then was too tired in the end. Ya, thats it. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it. I coned all my runs, and even if I hadn't I still would have been beat by John. However, the car is capable of lots better. Now to get the nut behind the wheel all tightened up. Look out boys.

Oh, and Rodney, what are you going to charge me for a set of those flared fenders for the EG? Keep in mind that I'm going to hack them up to make them fit the EF, so a set of less than perfect (blems) would be great for me.

I bought mine from jdmsh!t.com. Fits fine, survives meetings with driveways and parking lots.
