Integra vibrates when moving under load
I have a 95 LS teg. I had the a similar problem a while back. I replaced the motor mounts put the polyurethane mounts in, and replaced the CV shafts and that fixed it. It was vibrating really bad. Now I noticed it just vibrates some as in the whole car shakes under load. The more load you put it under the more it does it. Its not even as bad as it used to be but Im not sure what it could be now. The CV shafts are no more than 4 months old and same with the mounts. I havent replaced the rear tranny mount yet though.
Any opinons on why it would do this?

Alright I know for a fact my alignment is off because ive lowered the car. Im not sure about the wheels being balanced. Tomorrow ill be getting my new wheels so Ill have them balanced then.
Thanks
Thanks
It stops shaking when I let off the gas or when I push in the clutch though. If it were bad wheel balancing wouldnt it keep shaking?
Doesn't sound like a bad axle if it stops vibrating when you let off the gas. Sounds like your new poly motor mounts are keeping the engine still and making the car vibrate.
its could be a bad axle, I had a problem like that. broken inside CV joint on driver side. ONLY vibrates when you are on the gas. You feel if more in higher speed and higher gears. 1st 2nd gear wasn't really noticable. Axles we reman, less than 6 month old.

definitly not wheel balancing, or bent rims, or anything related to the wheel.
i would take a look at the suspension components and see how everything is.
if anything is loose, leaking, etc.

I just put on my new wheels and tires and it still vibrates. I just replaced the CV shafts why would it be those? I havent put the rear tranny mount in and it could be that. Anyone else have any ideas or suggestions?
you are correct, it is very unlikely that it is the CV shafts. if it were those, it would do it all the time, not just under power. it could be the rear mount, or any engine/tranny mount, for that matter. you should be able to test each one with a big crowbar, or just put a jack (wood between pan and jack!) under the engine and take each one out and visually inspect them. doesn't take long, only a few bolts.

are you speaking from experience? From experience, my busted driver side inboard CV joint cause vibration ONLY under power.

BlackLS is correct. When outer CV joints go bad, they click while turning. That's the sign that they are bad. However, the telltale sign of bad inner joints is vibration ONLY under load.
I went through 4 sets of rebuilt axles in a span of just 2-3 months before I finally got a set that did not vibrate. All of them had problems with the inner joint (one set had a problem with axial play in the outer joint).
On both my 89 Camry and my Integra, bad inner joints always produces bad vibration, sometimes very severe vibration, under load only, and usually only in a certain speed range. It goes away the instant the throttle is closed.
