when im driving i can hear a lould clunking and can feel it and its bad makes the whole car shake it does it alot when truning and does it when going stright less but still bad what could it be im thinking its the cv axel but is there anything els it could cause this?

 

Tires/bent wheel, or motor mounts. Thats about all it could be other than the axle.

 

I'd throw brakes on that list too. How fast do you have to drive for this clunking to occur? If it is low speed, have someone stand outside of the car and listen to better locate the source.

 

axles. i had the same problem. i was on a road trip and started having terrible shaking, i knew the axles were going bad before though, but after changing them it was fixed. look to see if you have a torn boot, no grease after a long time will do that

 

It sounds like your axles.Does the sound get louder when you take sharp turns?

 

yep it does and you can feel the whole car shakeing when it happens

 

rims are not bent and all the mounts are good so must be the axel

 

found the problem it was the trans took it out and looked at it today final drive gear is bad all the bearinging are bad and the case is craked yust my luck!

 

That's not good, but at least that is easy to swap. How many miles were on it?

 

only 132000 and it was kept up good

 

Yust got my new gsr trans in and its pulling harder then ever
