Default NEXT HID retrofit member coming soon......Any last minute advice before the madness begins ?

Well i just bought Denso thin ballasts, ignitors and all supporting hardware from an IS300, along with 2 Audi A6 projectors with bulb connectors..i will be reviewing skafia's instructions very carefully before i even begin.........For those who have already done this mod....Is there any last minute advice or any potential problems that I should watch out for or be aware of before doing the retrofit ?? Thanks guys

Take your time? Re-seal the headlights very well, to avoid the moisture inside the headlights. . .

measure, remeasure, then remeasure again before cutting. Take your time, don't burn your housing.

I got the HID kit from someone here on H-T, and I got the projectors from ebay.

IS300 HID setup including Denso thin ballasts, d2r bulbs and ignitors: $250 shipped

Audi A6 projectors with bulb connectors: $150 shipped

$400 altogether......not the best deal, but not the worst deal either

I wanna thanks Patrick GSR, and the rest of you guys that helped me go from being totally HID ignorant, to piecing together my first setup ..thanks a million guys

p.s. I noticed that on Skafia's HID website, in his other directory labeled itr, he is standing in front of a stolen itr.....was that the same car that he did the HID retro on......if so, that sucks so bad....

If you follow Skafia's instructions with wiring you are gonna have a problem, make a harness and use a relay to do it right and not start a electrical fire. check out HID planet if you havent already search for harness, it'll show you the better way to do it
