4-5 lug switchover year JDM ITR 97-98

did a search but could not find anything certain.
my question is when did the ITR switch from 4x114.3 to 5x114.3?
i found several sources that say the 97 had 4 lugs and the best motoring type R legend
video talks about the upgrade to 5 hole wheels for 98 spec. but it seems odd that honda would release the 5 lug ITR in the states before the japanese market, as well as the 5 lug CTR in 97. does anyone know if the five lug was realeased anywhere else before 98 or possible a mid 97 crossover in japan? Also i'm curious about any other subtle differences between the 97 and 98 domestic ITRs, post links if you have em.

wrong....in both 96&97 all JDM - R's were 4x114.3 . This topic has been beaten over and over and over again! Not to mention i have brochures from all the years...both jdm and usdm~!
