I am a name guy as much as everyone else, but on some parts I don't see spending the extra money on a name brand. I bought a short shifter that was cheap(tenzo, obx, not sure) and I only use my car for daily driving enjoyment but it works as good as anything else....shorter throw, quicker shifts. For other applications the extra money may be well spent...but for mine I can't justify spending more. Oh yeah, it does make a diff. I love mine.

Get a skunk 2 short through shifter. A buddy of mine got one in his 2001 civic h/b. It's tight, looks, good, and is nice and smooth. The skunk 2 short through shifter is week worth the $$$$

i agree, skunk2 has sealed ABEC 3 bearings (used in top of the line skateboards, rollerblades) and has a very nice almost titanium looking finish on it

I "heard" it makes a rattling noise, and dont buy the cheap kind I sell them and they suck ***. I have the dc and it works great.

I have a TenzoR short shifter on my hg hatch with a B18C1. I rev to 8grand all the time and bang gears, no problems with the shifter or any rattlings. They are all the same(except for C's). THe money you save can be put towards "go" goodies to help that shifter.
