Megan Underdrive pulley doesn't clear crankshaft fluctuaton sensor
Do I really need this sensor? What would happen if I removed it? Can I fool the computer? Do others have underdrive pulleys that fit the civic DX sohc. That is clear the cover and crankshaft fluctuation sensor. Help the desperately horsepower seeker.
Are you driving a full-on race car? Or a daily driver? You do realize all you'll be doing is underdriving all your pumps/belts. If you have powersteering that may affect that, your alternator will be underdriven so your lights will be dimmer and who knows if it will throw codes for electrical problems since the power output will be less.
But go for it. You could always try just pulling the sensor and see if it throws a code, which it probably will, then you'll just have to find a work-around for that.

My car is a daily race car. All I care about is getting more power. If I remove the crankshaft fluctuation sensor, I worry that I will get less power the car going into limp mode if the sensor is not there. I am desperate to get an answer to this as the car has been up in the air for a week now. Where does one find work arounds?
