I have a 1999 Civic Si. I noticed last night for the first time when I would go into 4th gear Clutch all the way in just driving it would stick a little and coming out of the gear as well. I know my 3rd gear syncro is kicking the bucket but what could be with the 4th gear. Bent shift Fork? It sdoesn't help if you rev match or anything it sticks. It is bugging the hell out of me any ideas? Also I am not one to work on trannys I hate it How much you think I am looking at to fix this and fix my 3rd gear syncro issue.
Thanks for the help.

im not sure but i think you'll be looking at around 500 for a basic rebuild on a honda tranny your prolly better off just asking your friend to find another b16 trans

Mileage DOES NOT matter on transmission life. It all depends on how you drive it that ultimately tells you whether or not your transmission will grenade or not.

I did Syncromesh at the tranny change that's what I stuck in there. Helped shifting and grind a little .How much do you think I am lookin at to do a fix on the tranny if Syncros are bad in 3rd and 4th ear and shift fork is gone? Anyone know?

3rd and 4th gear hawe same syncro so that might be a problem.
I hawe a 3rd gear problem when I shift ower 6000rpm, from 2 to 3rd I feal the hrshh but the 4th is ok.

they do not use the same synchro, they use the same shift fork. because of the design of honda's manual tranny's its impossible for it to use the same synchro... its something related to your shift fork on 3/4th gear
