Default Fluctuating Idle RAWR!!!!

This is an ongoing problem from when I installed and then removed my Spoon Ventuli plate . My idle would be anywhere from on the verge of stalling up to 2,000 RPM depending on it's mood and sometimes throw a code and COMPLETELY **** up my throttle response. It would get VERY jerky at part throttle... . So, I ordered an Outlaw Engineering Thermoblok kit instead of just another stock gasket and the IM is much cooler to the touch after hard driving. (Definately reccomend it!) The IM on my EM1 is a PITA so I let my mechanic (best freind's dad) do it for $30 bucks. But the idle still fluctuates from around 9000 RPM to 1,500 RPM. For example, when I slow down for a light and throw it in neutral the revs drop to 1,500 RPM and after a few seconds settle to 900 RPM. OR if I throw a rev at idle after it settles to it'll drop to 900RPM then pop up to 1,500 for a sec even after I let off the throttle then settle back down. I haven't had any of the same throttle response issues as of yet but this **** bothers me to no end. Maybe I should retighten the bolts in sequence again? Doubel check the vac hoses? WTF?!

could be a vaccum leak or you might have a leak in your manifold did you tighten all the bolts? clean out the iacv and your throttle body with intake cleaner as well
