Default Aftermarket steering wheel and SRS light

I just installed a momo wheel into my 5th getn hatchback, and I pulled the fuse for the SRS system and the light is still on.... anyone know how to disable this? Also, I couldn't figure out how to hook up the horn since the calbe reel has to be removed... any thoughts?

take ou the gauge cluster and remove the light for the srs . that is the only way to fix that problem . as for the horn . i had to hook up a funky contraption to get it to work with the aftermarket wheel . but it works great . i have a 99 civic type r wheel and i used that horn button . it is hard to explain how to do it . i will take pics or post a diagram !

i would not screw with the wires just unplug the light . it will save you a lot of hassel . i think that they are using a resistor to shut the light off but still use the passenger side air bag ??????????????? not sure though . sorry!

cool... thanks. If you could do a diagram or post some pics of your horn setup, that would be great.

i will try to explain this to you , but bare with me , it is not easy !
you have to make a contact to touch the bronze metal part of the steering hub . i used a spring . because the spring does not put so much pressure on the steering wheel that you can tell a difference in the feel while turning . i soldered a wire onto the spring and ran it under the dash to the pin on the air bag harness that was used for the horn . it is the pin all the way to the left on the yellow plug with the ribbon harness on it . as soon as that wire sees ground the horn honks . i made a bracket to hold the spring inside of the steering column so it does not move at all but always has contact with the hub . then hook up the wires the way that they should be on the steering wheel . sorry for the confusion but its not an easy thing to describe .
