Default difference between ls transmissiona and gsr transmission

anyone know if there would be a huge difference if I were to put an LS transmission on my stock gsr ? reason being is I dont want to spend the money on a gsr tranny since my tranny is fucked. would it make a big performance different that would be noticable? thanks

gears are shorter. if you do a lot of highway driving its not recommended. 70 mph cruises around 4k. the car gets up quicker and is a good mod unless you do a lot of highway driving.

the ls tranny has significantly longer gears. thats why they are poular with boosted b series guys. this would help if you primarily if you didnt run; lower gears will help with fuel mielage. if you run this thing and are serious, it would behoove you to get another gsr; or b16/itr

just for an example, my buddy had a bolton gsr sedan, i had a bolt-on EM-1 civic si.

With the gsr tranny we were even. He broke it, bought an ls tranny, then i could pull 3-4 cars on him pretty quick. Then he got a ctr tranny, (same as b16) and then he could take me after 3rd gear.

great point. this a perfect demo of similar performance cars with the only diff being a tranny!
