It kills me that even after the fad is gone people still would rather put something on their car that's "JDM" over something that performs much better just because it's "JDM"
That's why I never get into these fads. People please if your buying a part just research for WHAT PART PERFORMS THE BEST FOR THE MONEY YOU WANT TO SPEND!!!!

I apologize for thread-jacking! However,
Half of you dick-heads were too broke or cheap to buy JDM performance products when they actually exceeded every single part that the USDM had available (4-5 years ago) look at the JUN3 cams (old ****) for example used on roughly 60% of all 215+hp Hondas.
So now that the U.S. has stepped in with products that finally, after years of research perform slightly better you jump ship. So the band-wagons are moving on so you move with them. (Congratulations you're now part of the newest bandwagon)
Anybody that hates on the JDM "fad" for establishing a standard and getting all these ***-bandits away from their Wings West ****, Projector headlights, and Double-stack GT-RRRR spoilers can eat my imported JDM 3" dick. I keep it right next to my Squash Air Freshener.
You can thank the "JDM fad" for putting respect with a capitol RRRR back into the Honda Community. BTW Since when do "FADS" last over half a decade?
I guess this guy is hating because the "CDM fad" hasn't dropped yet.

Can't afford what?? Don't even try that **** buddy. My car is clean on the outside no exterior mods just lowered on Tein Suspension and some Slips.
SO what can't I afford?? A Hytech Header?? Nope I have one of those. Tein Suspension?? Nope have that too though I'm going to Buddy Club RSD or Zeal B6/S6 soon only too upgrade for track.
All I was saying is that I don't think that someone should mod their car based on a specific brand. Sure to each their own do whatever you want, but I think that buying something cause it's JDM OR USDM or freakin PortugueseDM for that matter is pointless.
Obviously I've hurt your poor little feelings and offended your JDMness.
In short a person who is TRULY into making their car go fast doesn't jump on ANY bandwagons. They research what the best part out there is and how much money they have to spend, THEN they either buy the best part they have the money to buy or save up for the one they REAALLLLY want.
Thanks for your completly pointless opinion on what people can and cannot afford maybe you and Bill Gates should get together and talk since you seem to be on his level with all the money you must have

oh yes...that is some classic material. and, you are right. i've argued this for a bit now...since when is it better to put a nasty, banged up dc header on your beloved Honda as opposed to a Mugen (Jasma approved
) header? i'm with you. this is not a fad, its a way of life for most of us.

Your comparing apples to oranges when you say DC and Mugen.
So if this is your "way of life" why would you put the Mugen Header on and not a Toda?? Still "JDM" but makes the best power of any of the shelf header available.
See this is point that the closed minded people that worship JDM products are not getting. I'm not AGAINST JDM products. If they perform well I will buy them without even thinking about it.
That's my point. Buying something that performs without even worrying if it is JDM or USDM or whatever.

yeah..thats why
btw:
Yes performance counts.
I dont really think their is much diffrence in hp gains though
Yeah, maybe a usdm header might make more horse power than a jasma header.
But think about it, how many honda owners do you know with dc sports headers.
I want something diffrent under my hood.
And a jdm/jasma header is what im lookinh for.
Its diffrent.
I live here in austin,tx.
there isnt many jdm style hondas here like in the west coast.
also im not worried if im the fastest.
I will never be. So, what does it matter if i have a jdm/jasma header or usdm header.

i have to agree with 1999all_motoR_teg, you buy something on how it performs, not cause its jdm.
why do you want a header that is jasma approved?
why dont you look into this more and find out what type of header you need for your setup. like first telling is what your plans are for the motor. and yes there are major differences in headers when you test them, some can gain you more than 10-15hp in the midrange and top end, depending on you motor setup. But if you just want something that says jasma go buy a mugen header.

Sounds good if your not worried about being the fastest then any header will do.
Just remember though, DC Headers are not the only USDM headers out there. How many cars do you see around with an SMSP or Hytech Header?? Both made in the USA by custom shops. My Hytech Header goes for about $1300.00 USD which is a big reason they are not in alot of cars, but the power it makes is incredible and quality is untouched. SMSP, same thing goes for around $1000.00 USD won't see those in alot of cars either but once again people that have them never miss the money or regret spending it.
To each his own though so good luck on getting the header you want

but unlike alot of you guys im on a budget.
650 plus for a header is alot.
i might get it if i dont find jasma approved header..
