'05 Civic or '05 RSX
getting a new car.. mines a piece of shyt.. they're both about the same but i wanna save some extra money for mods.. rsx has better torque but parts are more expensive.. civic is cheaper but less torque and cheaper parts...
the type-s isnt the same price as a civic, so i am thinking still go with the rsx cause you will have the Mcphearson (sp?) suspension, but thats if you plan on racing it, if ur just going to mod it and drive on the road (not drag or auto-x) get the civic cause you could have more money for a turbo or what not

I do not believe that the price difference in aftermarket items for either car will be that significant.

Uh, learn something about cars. Both have struts, not just the RSX.

If it's a daily driver an ep3 is good. I wouldn't mind a DC5-S if I had the money to spare.
I drive past your area regularly on my commute to Orange County. I hav the Si and it's a great daily driver.
Decide on your uses for the car and test drive both. I went to that Autos in Motion at the El Toro Air Station yesterday. Spent the entire day there driving cars. They even had the Si there in my color! I really had fun driving the Si on their course. After my run, everyone was looking at me like I just stepped out of a race car instead of a passenger car.
I also drove the Corvette and the H2 just for the 'I drove them' factor.

I'm assuming that you're talking about a base model RSX, comparing it with the Si.
Given the choice between a base RSX and an Si, I would go with the Si. The Si is just a neat, weird little car that seems to do everything well for the price. You are likely to find a very good deal on the Si, too.
If you have the money for the RSX Type S, that's a completely different kettle of fish, and I would certainly get the Type S if that's an option.
If you have a specific question, I'd be happy to answer it.
