BURNT ECU? (P28)
ok so i trader my turbo kit for a ls-v set up and he gave me a p28 ecu chipped with erickson racing rev 9500k, and i opend it up and saw this...does this mean its no good?

that is a circuit board... it is not supposed to look like that nuff said... other parts seem fried as well, stuff inside and on the circuits can be melted or destroyed... so reguardless of whether or not it works now, which looks doubtful,
It will not last as long as it should, and could be dangerous/not work as well too.

That is Q31. It is the driver for the EVAP purge solenoid. The ECU will not purge your EVAP canister of fuel vapor. This happens when you connect engine sensors incorrectly, or have a short in the wire harness. I do recommend fixing it.
It also looks like a P28 conversion, not a true P28. What is the three digit code on the largest chip in the ECU (64 pin chip above the ROM chip)?
