Default Skunk2 Intake manifold with mildly modded car?

What do you think about putting a Skunk2 Intake manifold on an LS with just intake, header, and a World Sport Exhaust? I have no intention of putting in cams until i go turbo later on.

This car is a daily driver, so I want to keep the power in a fairly usable range, and that's why I'm kind of hesitating. Do you think that this would be a worthwhile mod?

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, guys.

i dont think its worth it without cams. it wont make a noticable difference without them. just save the cash for when you go for turbo

Don't buy parts until you know where you want to go with your car...the manifold would work best with cams/a slight bump in compression. Best bet is to save your money for your build up!

I currently have the S2 IM with i/h/hi flow cat/e. You will see a noticable difference on top end, but you will loose a lot of torque. I am putting some 403's in my car soon, but if you arent planning on doing cams buy something else like a gsr tranny.

I am buying parts for a reason, as i said above. I'm going turbo later on. I was just curious if it was just a total loss to put it on now as opposed to later. I'm sorry for the confusion.

When i had my integra i had that intake manifold and everything else stock.
I just couldn't stand secondaries. VTEC screams though....

yeah def. buy it. its a great add on. but you have to make sure u go turbo because if you go ls/vtec then it wont fit. but it will be a great add on once you go turbo. you can put it on now but its not gonna make a noticable difference. good luck

Don't bother, you will gut your low end and midrange HP and TQ for some very puny gains up top. You car will be slower overall with the S2 IM and just a I/H/E setup, especially on an LS that tops out at 6800 rpm's. And since your going Turbo in the future, you'll want a larger IM than the Skunk2 anyway, like the big *** JG Edlebrock. Don't waste your cash on the S2 IM at this time. If your itching to do a mod, how about preparing your car for the increase in traction you'll need when your boosted, so you can put all that added HP to the ground with authority! Wheel spin and wheel hop suck.

I think I'll hold off until I go turbo or maybe I'll sell it. I don't know...
