IACV problem
Did a search and couldnt find my exact problem. I just installed a new IACV on my b16a because the old one was broken in half and my idle was really shitty. Well the first time I got the wrong one and that explained why it wasnt working. I bought one from hmotorsonline for my engine and for the pr3 ECU. I reset the ECU and its installed but the idle still bounces. I have run out of ideas on what it could be. Coolant hoses are also connected. Any help appreciated.
I have the same problem, havent check it out yet but im throwing a code 14 for it. What im gonna do when I get the time is to check the voltage and troobleshoot from there.
screw that FITV all the way in, and check readjust your throttle cable.. I just had this same problem. Also check the voltage going to the IACV. Another thing that might help is if you bleed the coolant system

Well you guys were right, I finally had time to do it so I said what the hell and took off my FITV. The plastic thing was unscrewed so I screwed it in and then adjusted the idle and now it works just fine. I thought it wouldnt have been the FITV because the idle bounced when it was warm and cold but I was proven wrong and thanks again honda-tech.

Just as the IAC works by leeting air bypass the throttlebody butterfly to control idle, there is a second set of holes to bypass air which are used by the FITV. The FITV operates kind of like a thermostat. It keeps air bypassing the throttlebody until the coolant/water heats up enough to actuate the FITV. Then the FITV no longer allows air to bypass.
So, if the FITV is not working then there is an air leak all the time. The IAC tries to deal with it and it can't do a good job at it so the idle bounces.

Fast Idle Thermo Valve, right under the throttle body. If the idle is bouncing and your IACV is functioning, then take off the FITV and screw in the plastic thing all the way on the inside of the FITV. Easy task and should be held in by three bolts and two coolant hoses (at least on a B16a)

Yes, it does have one.

Just don't expect to be happy with your idle if it ever gets SUPER cold. The FITV won't work all the way screwed in and your idle will be doo-doo.

I have the same problem. Is there a diagram or something as to where the IACV and FITV are located? Is the IACV the cylinder on the back of the TB, or is it the sensor that's 90 degrees counterclockwise from the map sensor?
