Default injectors for itb's

Hey

i picked up a set of cbr 954 tbs , and look at the injectors, which ones are you guys using? the cbr ones or civic? did you re-jet the cbr ones? or change the clips and install the civic ones? also i saw a thread on here, a guy is using the cbr tb's and the cbr fuel rail, wont a aftermarket fuel rail work?

Yes an aftermarket fuel rail should work, and I would talk to the member gutted. I think he was using h22 injectors because other injectors would not fit.

if you put the injectors on the itbs location, then you would need to use the fuel rail that came with the itbs and you can't use any injectors larger than the ones from the car. so you that means you can't use RC injectors. if you put the injectors on the oem flange stock location , then you can use the oem fuel rail or aftermarket fuel rail. the advantage of putting the injectors on the itbs location is better fuel atomization.

Thats not true. I have seen people use the itb fuel injector location but then use a stock fuel rail.

i was taking about cbr itbs, if you use gsx itbs and get the runners to line up straight then you can use the stock fuel rail. cbr itbs won't line up straight, so you have to use the itb fuel rail.

Oh ok, makes sense. But will the cbr fuel rail allow enough fuel to pass threw ?

cbr fuel rail should be fine for NA application unless you are planning on making 250+ whp, you really only need high flow fuel rail in force induction.

i've heard people saying they were 240cc but no one has confirm it. some one was going to send them to RC to get them flow tested but they never got back to me with the results. i'm planning on trying them but haven't got the time to yet.

i read somewhere someone used h22 injectors, are they different from other size cc's from the stock civic ones?

the cbr injectors are alot smaller in diameter i've noticed, hopefully they will be good enough, my setup is approx 12.2:1

i might have to do some serious dremeling to make the other ones fit if need be

h22 injectors are physcially the same size as all other honda injectors for automobile, so they will fit on the itbs location. larger injectors will hit the idle control bar, you can probably fine a way to rig it though.
