CRX 4-2-1 headers on an ek
To start, I have an obd-0 CRX with headers that I want to put on my brother's ek. The problem I'm running into so far, is that on the ek, the primary o2 sensor wire(don't need the secondary) isn't long enough to reach the o2 bung on the dcsports crx headers, the way it is located now.
I was thinking what I could do, and 1 thing would be to cut the harness sleeve(the plastic that protects the wires and keeps then together) and let the o2 sensor wires han freely in the engine bay, but I'm worried I could **** something up. ANYONE EVER DONE THIS?
thanks

Maybe I'm not thinking clearly yet today at work, but how will cutting this off give you more length? If you're worried about it, you could wrap it in electrical tape or redo it in heatshrink after you're done.
Guess I need to figure out how you plan to get more length out of it.

I meant cutting the harness sleeve so I could peel back the o2 sensor wire, to have enough length to get to the o2 sensor bung. If that helps.
So you mean extending the wires for the O2 sensor (ie: soldering some extra wire in)? If that's what you mean, just wrap some electrical tape and/or heatshrink around then after you're done extending them. I've done it and been running good for over 2 years.

Yeah, I could do that, but putting a longer wire means adding more resistance, so **** would act different.
