speakers....6 1/2's but no need for components...what to buy????
My buddy wants to get some new 6 ½'s for his car. Doesn't want to spend a lot of money and doesn't need top of the line.
I was looking around and came across these: PIONEER TS-A640P 4 WAY They were only like $50.00 for a new set.
Any suggestions?

they will be going in the front of his car. He has some old alpines that need to be replaced. His deck had died and he figured he should pick up some new speakers to get better sound.
I asked him about components and he said he didnt want to spend the money and also is just looking for a quick install. Seeing that he already has 6.5's in the door a new pair will be a simple swap.

Hmm honestly I wouldn’t buy Pioneer speakers - they make good decks but that’s it. If you just want some 50$ speakers with no crossovers then get Alpine or Eclipse - they both make good low end stuff as well as high end.
