DA b18C SWAP 1/4 TIMES??? ANYONE???
Im thinkin of gettin a JDM B18C for my 93 integra GS and I am wondering what my 1/4 will be with I/E maybe something else. Someone out there has the swap and needs to tell me what they ran. Thanks
ruslan... every engine breathes different, every car reacts different to swaps. lego'ing your setup is the noob way to get better performance. if u'd like, if u come to buy that hood this weekend, i can help u out with a reliable and quick setup...
my old da with a b18c swap ran a 14.3 at 103mph with a exhaust shop 2.25inch exhaust autozone canister and factory cat, still had factory intake tubing with cheap cone filter. the car also had no back seats and a carbon fiber hood. this was at the bowling green kentucky 1/4

I have a 90 gs with a GSR swap with port and polsihed head, type R cams, I/H/E Full cat back with no cat, skunk2 intake manafold, AEM cam gears, Pulleys, ICEMAN intake, new valves, springs, and retainers. IT ran a 13.2 on 14 inch rims, with no back seats. on 100 octane. I have a video of it.

no cat on a NA motor isn't good for the valves. ur actaully losing a little power because on the NA u need some back pressure to make optimal power. on FI straight through is the best way to go.

You don't need back pressure, what you need is a free flow exhaust that's not going to produce turbulence or won't lose velocity.

two of my friends have GSR's and one wuz running an apexi gt spec exhaust straight pipe and the other one wuz running the apexi N1 straight pipe. both loud as hell. they were both around 70k miles and after a couple of months they both had floated a valve. the guy at the shop told them it was because there wasn't enough back pressure.

i really doubt that was to do lack of back pressure...

Ummm, no. Maybe they both overreved. People daily drive open header and their motors are straight still.
