Right around 5000 rpms , my cars tach jumps to 6000 then back around to 5500, then does little jumps inbetween, i think this effects by vtec sometimes because when i get to 5000 rpms sometimes, the car bogs and wont hit vtec, but sometimes i will be able to hit vtec very well. Anyone might have a known cause for a jumping tach would be appreciated. Thanks Eric

 

Oh yeah, this all happened after i timed my car and pressure washed my engine bay.

 

It sounds like the ignitor..

 

check your grounds that what will cause a problem like that you have the one that is on the tranny and the one that is on the radiator support
