I was out scoping out parts and other items for my ls vtec conversion for my 90 crx si and an issue was raised by me and another crx guru with respects to how high the engine sits.

I am interested in the AVID billet aluminum mounts that will be available soon and I am concerned that with those mounts the b18a1 block with a b16a head will not allow the hood to close.

I believe Hasport makes two version of B to D conversion mounts but I cannot honestly afford to purchase these as they are way too expensive.

So with that being said has anyone used avid mounts to mount a lsvtec engine into their rex?

Dont get the avid..The motor sits way to low to the ground..

If you want some good mounts but dont have the money for hasport get some arizona race machine mounts..

 

The two Hasport kits you are thinking of are for either a cable or hydro trans install. As for your situtation I would either go with HAsport, HCP, or AZRACE mounts.
