Default Whats up guys. Please help!

Hi guys i need a few questions answered if you dont mind. I have a 2000 civic SI. I have ran that car up and down Cali and even to Nevada, it has 110 thousand miles and it needs some work. I dont drive alot anymore but im planning to do a engine swap on it by the end of next month. i Tried doing searches and reading on some stickies before posting this question but i was still not sure. So i want to do a swap on it and run on engine and add nothing else. I was thinking a GSR engine or integra Type R engine. But i want to swap it with the less amount of modification on the car and parts. I just drop it in and adjust a few things on it but thats it. My question is do i also need the ECU. And suspension parts for these 2 engines. And can i keep the same transmission?. Thankx you in advance. Hope to hear from yuo guys soon.

you can keep the same tranny but its best to swap the ECU with the corresponding motor. i.e. p72, p75. if you got money go for the ITR. if not, GSR is still a great choice

Being that your in Cali, make sure the motor year is 2000+. Cali law says that the motor must be the same year or newer than the car. I made that mistake on my 96 spec ITR into my 2000 CX Hatch, and I got raped by the state ref.

I would go ITR swap. I loved mine until I got owned by the ref.

thankx for responses guys.

I guess the ITR or GSR drops Right in with nothing else to do except buy the ECU. One thing on the H22....does it need mounts for it? Anyways i think ill go with whatever best deal i get. Anyone know wher i can get them cheap in Cali.(san diego)

H22 needs custom ****. My ITR swap was round 4500 installed. It was a JDM B18Cr. A GSR swap would be significantly cheaper.

Call Access Motors for pricing. They did mine.

b18c1 (gsr) less compression and less price than b18c5 (type r). yes, less hp, but still, i think overall, its the same, less money = less power, more money = more compression.....IMHO
