Default Automatic accord troubles

My transmission wont shift correctly. It goes to 20mph and it wont shift to next gear. Any suggestions I changed out the solenoid with some used ones. Is the transmission controlled by the ecu or a seperate ecu

Did you flush the fluid and change the linear soleniod ?

if your car is a 95 and older theres 2 computers. 1 for the motor and 1 for the transmission.

What year/model is it. The 98-02 V6's had trans issues. I should know... haha

The d4 light does blink. It is a 1996 honda accord lx with an automatic transmission. If there is an extra computer where would it be at on this car

no 96 has 1 computer.

probably toasted the tranny. my 94 auto tranny died last year. had the same symptoms and soon it wouldnt shift into any gear at all except reverse. converted to sick and much happier.

You really need to get the code, is the speedo working? Some of the 96 models still had the BLUE 2 pin service connection under the glovebox above the kick panel.
