Default Lookin to upgrade my accord ...

I've got a '94 Accord, v4 with AT. Lookin to get some better performance out of it, but without breaking the bank to start it off.

I'm going to be starting off with the traditional i/h/e but I'm curious as to where I can get some good, inexpensive parts.

After that, I'm probably going to get myself a body kit so I can make the car look a little newer and toss on some better suspension, but after that ... I'm not to sure which direction I want to head in. Any Ideas?

Any and all input is welcome ... if you know websites, or would like to offer some advice on what I should put on next, I'm all ears. Or, since we're typing this all, I guess I'm all eyes.

That's about it for now ... if you've got some info ... let me know please.

Thanks,

Rob

Now thats a |4 motor youve got yourself there rob that is becuase the pistons all four of them are in one line and not that V shape.
also called an inline motor. I would do your supension before you get your body kit maybe even before you do you basic bolt on I/H/E.
I like to have the control there and ready before you go maken more power now is that the vtec or non vtec motor you go you didnt mention if it was the ex or not.

If you wanna buy an intake i have one for sale i used it for about 2-2.5 months

invest in a technical manual on the car and learn as much as possible about it before you make any modifications

Did someone already correct him on the v4-i4 thing, yeah well anyways.
http://www.thepartstrader.com if you want some good deals on used/new parts, just have to wait around till something good comes up. Also check out http://www.groupbuycenter.com, it's worth registering, you can get in on some really good deals.

Other than that, do some searching around the forum, make the most informed decision based on your own research.

Appreciate the help guys ... doubt I'm going to be upgrading anytime soon however, as I've not the money to set aside for it right now ... however, probably in the fall. I'm also looking at getting a side job at an auto shop to cut down on costs, as I'd be able to install the parts myself, and I'd have all the tools at my disposal.

Anyone know of any good places where I can find myself a cheap body kit?
I may actually (instead of converting my AT to MT), just trade in for another Accord at some point, that way I can save some cash, and possibly come out looking better in the future.

That's about it for now.

Thanks guys,

Rob

Alrighty ... either tomorrow or even later today I'll have some pics of my car uploaded for you all to laugh at, and tell me how in need of some tweaking I am.

This isnt the forum to laugh at pictures. This forum is for technical accord discussion.

I recommend getting suspension and rims before you put a body kit on there. I'd actually recommend no body kit at all but thats your choice. Body kits just look kinda silly without rims on there.

I think 99% of body kits look silly. A lip spoiler or something suddle is ok, but huge widemouth crap looks ridiculous.

If you guys saw my car, you would know why I need some stuff done on the body ... at least some paint anyway ...

Regardless, the pictures weren't for humour purposes, they are going to be put up so you can all see what's under my hood and recommend some feasible upgrades that aren't ridiculously expensive.

just tell us what is under the hood, we can all pretty much invision and know what you have

don't worry about the body kit question, if you want to spend your money on that then fine but please really consider what you look at
