YOYO All you Canyon Racers. OK actually a legitimate Hillclimb in Ala.
There is a SCCA sanctioned hillclimb up Crow Mountain in Scottsboro Alabama in October to be put on by the Tennessee Valley Region. Two miles, closed course. Looks like a whole lot of fun. Already has some entrants including a few H-T celebraties. Here is the link.

Can I drive your car Barry?
Somehow I don't think an ITC car would be much fun going up a hill.

How about we create a special class for ITC. You guys can run downhill with NOS too. I will have my Solo 1 license by then so I will be there. Looks like a lot of fun complete with FIA approved crash trees.

There's an ITC Scirocco and a Formula V already entered, so you'd be in good company.

Yeah, I know that Scirocco. It will KILL me climbing up a mountain.
Even my old GSr wasn't all that much fun. No torque, 2600lbs, and FWD aren't that great for a hill climb. I held the Beech Mountain record for about 1 year though, but I'm pretty sure a BMW 325is shattered it.
If I can score a co-drive in something entertaining, I'll be there. But it honestly wouldn't even be worth the trip in my car.

I'm pretty sure that I'm in, even though I WON'T be able to do the Blue Ridge this year - it conflicts with a business trip to Beijing, of all places.
If you want some real fun, it looks like NASA rallysport is going to sanction a 108-mile, all-tarmac rally in Tennesee on Labor Day weekend. That will be wild and you should look for the 'Fridge to be entered if the event happens.

TSD rally?
TSD rally?
Northeast Alabama is at the end of the Appalachians and is actually quite mountainous and beautiful. There are even a couple of short season ski resorts in that area.
Corey's car would be a great hillclimber (for FWD). Torque y0.

None that I have yet to find.
I might be incorrect, but I think that Sirocco is the same one I worked on at Sandblast this weekend. It was owned by Aaron Mosher though, not John Barnett, and it's now green. They're both from Huntsville however.
Hmm, I'll be going, I guess. It's too close to resist not going.

If you actually want to, Rally Tennessee is coming up in a couple months. Should give you time to prep a car if you've already got one caged.
We've got a small crew down in Auburn that I could even organize for you, and since I don't have a car right now, "my" codriver is always looking for rides.
Oh, and they're one day (mostly, I think one of the USRCS rallies is 2), single driver/co-driver.
