Default STUMPED!! Seperating TRANS from BLOCK??? HELP NEEDED D@MN SEAL!!!

Aight i have no clue why its so hard to pry/take the trans off the block...all screws are out, i believe the SEAL is on there good. Its possible that the trans still has the original clutch in it so never been cracked open. But what ways can you think of to break that seal and pry the two apart?

Ive never had this problem before, they are usually fairly easy to get off, this one is very stubernt and doesnt want to come off, and all screws are off. I drove the car before the motor was pulled, drove fine clutch was a little weak so I got a new one to put in if i could crack that biatch!

IT should definately not be that hard. You missed somethin. Did u take off tha flywheel cover like that guy said? Otherwise, just get wild with a screwdriver. You cant get it to separate at all anywhere?

Yeah.. make sure you got the black access plate off the block.

One of the starter bolts (maybe both) holds the tranny to the block.

Also, if you are trying to pry the block apart, try prying at different areas (top, bottom, front, back). you should be able to find out what area is holding it together.

rubber mallot and a good whack usually works well with any stubborn motor parts.

yeah definatly check everything that has been said and see if you can twist it from side to side at all if you can all the bolts are out. rubber malot sounds nice to that or a dead blow hammer.

And don't forget the bolt that comes from the engine side into the tranny. It's often overlooked until you find yourself about to break something
