Lowering ride cost inlinefour
I got some coilovers, not not even sure what brand because someone else installed them a while back. I decided to lower it by taking it to this local shop called inlinefour http://www.inlinefour.com they want 65 to lower my 94 accord ex four door. So is that too much or sounds about right to you guys?

So wait, the coilovers are already installed, and you're paying them $65 to adjust the height? If this is the case, I don't see why you'd be doing it, as this is something that takes 10 minutes by just jacking up the car and adjusting the perch.
However, if the $65 is to actually install the coilovers, that's a great price.

yea they really want 65 to adjust the perch, ill drive up there and ask them in person this weekend. But i have no idea how to adjust coilovers and what tools are needed, never had any experience with them before thanks for the post pyrojeff
Man, $65 to adjust the height? That's outrageous. Usually the coilover's will come with the tool to adjust the height. Just jack up the car and use that tool to adjust it. It's pretty basic. Just make sure all the sides are the proper height.

Haha props to your sister for installing them. It should say SOMEWHERE on the coilover who manufactured it. If you found that out you could google the name online and find a place to order a replacement tool.
I'd say try reading on the spring, there has to be some sort of ID such as a part number or something. You can try using a mirror to check the part thats hidden from view.

dude, they are trying to run a business, right?
they have put the car on the lift, lift it, adjust all four corner.
that's sounds like a good 30min of work to me.

As iam7head said, they are running a business. The overhead includes the girl that answers the phone, the phone bill, the cost of running a website, wages, workers comp insurance, insurance on the building, a gas bill to heat the place, the cost of the equipment, electricity, an accountant, etc. Everything I listed must get a piece of that $65 for them to stay in business. I owned my own shop for 17 years, trying to pay the overhead can be tough sometimes.
Overhead, overhead, overhead
Considering you may need to adjust them a couple times to compensate for wear and spring sag. IMO I think it is a fair price.

true about the overhead cost, but if it cost that much just to adjust the hight i dont want to know how much they charge to work on the engine

So what? When I had mine done, the shop that did charged $20 to adjust the ride height. $5 a wheel. That price is one thing, $65 is entirely another. There's running a business and then there's ripping people off.

it's not all about money, it's about how they look at you.
if someone bring their car to my shop and ask to adjust ride height, i would say, are you retarded or handicaped?
WTF, you are driving a lower car and don't even know how to adjust it when the coilovers are already on it? Even a girl could do it anytime.

65 dollar to adjust the springs is way different than installing new springs or coilover. should be 7 dollars per wheel , anything higher and they're ripping people off
