I know the general rule of thumb is 2" wider slick than the size of the rim, is about the max you want to go. But,I was wondering if anyone had this size on a stock honda steel rim, (which I believe is 5" wide).....Its definately the cost effective way to go if it will work....Any comments are appriciated..

 

I tried it for 1 race and it worked but I didn't feel safe and didn't drop the ET's as much because the contact patch doesn't sit right. I wouldn't recommend doing it but thats just my opinion.

Hi 99lspwr; You would be better off using my P205/60-13 that takes a 6"x13" wheel then the 8/22-13 on a 5" wheel. My answer to your ? is NO do not waste your time like SadisticRacing said.

lenso vp drag wheels are very nice i think around 280 for the pair. then you have rota they have a 13 in drag wheel a lil heavier but i believe 110 each or so.

 

I bought the Rota RB's there heavier then the Lensos and yeah I paid $220 for mine. Worked good and not many people had them but would've bought Welds or Bogarts used if I could do it again because there so much lighter.
