Best time for STOCK 93 Civic Hatch CX????
I have a 1.5L stock CX motor in my 93 Civic hatch and i was just wondering what they would run in the quarter mile stock?????or who has a pretty good time?
i dont think it would hit 17 that easy... if it does then it can smoke a v6 accord.?? i dont think so.........
i'd say it prob be around high 18 with a professional driver or prob low 19's if this is any possible.. prob not good to even try the track...

V6 Accords are somewhere in the vicinity of high 15's. I don't know which V6 Accord that you drove that went 17's. Anyways, let's just put it this way, you ain't going anywhere anytime fast in a CX.
guys.. i have a 93 CX, at Sears Point this year.. i ran 12 times.. all 12 runs were 18.4 @ 70mph. All i have on there is an intake which didnt do ****.

i ahd one of the motors but it got replaced DOHC VTEC HAHAH don't even mess around with that crappy motor the only thing good about it is that you can over heat the hell out of it and it won't mess up the block GOOD LUCK
puts down 70hp (crank) from a 8 valve 1493 cc SOHC. even if it does weight only 2000 lbs, we are talking 18s-19s with that wide econo 5-speed.
Somebody here dynoed their girl's CX and it laid down an earth-shattering 50hp.
I don't mean to sound like an ***, but you are wasting your time if you're trying to get ANY type of performance out of the 8-valve CX motor.
Hey Downeybear, at least the intake and exhaust could be used after your engine swap? I know where you 70hp guys are coming from - I had a 1990 STD Civic - 70hp. It's no use - the DOHC side is calling you.

ya totaly.. the cx is a dogg especially with the wide gear ratios. Im getting a D16Z6 soon so hopefully that, plus my intake and exhaust will get me into the high 15's. SOHC POWER for now.. gotta do suspension and bodywork first.. B18C5 will come after.
i just added an RSR exhaust to my CX.. im going to Sears soon.. hopefully it will be a tad quciker!
Loose the cat and you'll be faster.
i had a 95 dx coupe with i/h/e and msd sci ignition . full interior and ran 16.1 @ 82 mph ! then i dropped a b18c1 in it with 11.1 compression and a ton of other internals and bolts ons and ran 13.9 @ 100
My stock DX went 16.50. Only mod was advanced timing. Everything else was bone stock except for some coilovers and 16" wheels...not bad if you ask me.
what are your experiences with a b16a2 jdm 170hp, anyone know what that runs in an "eg6" civic stock maybe /i/h/e in the 1/4 mile?????? i know a hatch with a b18c1 does 14's no problem
