Dual Master Brake Cylinder Setup
I am curious to see what people's opinions are on dual master brake cylinder setups, as I have seen them on many world challenge race cars.
What are the differences between dual masters & oem single master setup?
What are the pros/cons?
Is it worth it to run?
Car is a dedicated/trailered road race car.

The main advantage of dual master cylinder is the balance bar for the brake bias. As far as if it worth or not, it is your call. Consider cost and work it will be easily over $500 worth of work and parts minimum

Same thing with stock one. The stock one is actually a tandem master cylinder.

Another thing those World challenge teams have that most of us don't is gobs of money to spend on anything to get them .2's faster a lap. As andrie said, it will allow you to adjust the brae bias to a fine point, and will separate the front and rear brakes. Personally I think you can spend that money on other parts that will yield lower times than the dual MC set-up!
All depends on what you what.
Alot of drivers have a preference on what size master to run, and juggle them around some, for different tracks, and for different pad compounds. It is a driving style and preference thing.

With this being said, would something like the tilton floor mounted pedals be legit for HC. It says in the rulebook that the pedals can be modified. Because if so this would be sweet:

Yes, the floor mount pedals are legal for HC. I e-mailed RYan at NASA and he said it was OK. I am considering this set-up to mount the seat as far back as possible for weight distribution reasons.
THe Tilton uint retails for about $400-500. The AP RAcing set-up retails for $1,500!!! The same one used in the Real Time cars.

It is sold by the folks at http://www.dmrr.net, they are nice.
You can get it without cylinders if you want to choose your own brand and bores.

I thought you had to use the stock master cylinder for HC ? would you be able to use it with that set-up?
